There is no greater feeling than the love at first sight you experience with your children. The days are long, but the years are short. And all of those moments are just pure love. A baby is a miracle. A living, breathing, love that is inexplicable, overwhelming in the best way, and makes your heart want to beat right out of your chest. Those first few hours, days, and weeks may feel like a blur, and the memories fade. Let me capture the beginning of your purest love story, so you can treasure this moment for all time. As a  Tri-Cities newborn photographer, I will capture these fleeting first moments so you have them with you, always.

Not just any baby photos

I want to capture all the tiny details, the size of their hand wrapped around your thumb, their tiny feet, lips, and how their little scrunched up bodies in your arms look and feel when you hold them.
As a momma of 2 myself, I can tell you how much your newborn photos will mean to you, and bring you back to those moments when you look at them when your baby is turning 1, and then running off to Kindergarten, and then all of a sudden saying they are "big enough to do it themselves" in what feels like a blink.
Choosing someone safe with your newborn is of utmost importance.
Not only have I worked with babies for over 10 years as an ER nurse, I have taken 1:1, hands-on training, with a newborn photographer with over 12 years of experience. The handling of your precious newborn is not a decision to take lightly, and your session will be professional and enjoyable.

how soon after birth is a newborn session done?

Newborn sessions are typically done between 6-18 days when they are in that sleepy, dreamy sleep that allows them for the curled up poses that everyone loves. That said, babies work at their own pace, and if you or baby end up needing more time to rest and recover there is always room for that. Your wellbeing and baby's are my top priority. 


Where do your sessions take place?

Newborn sessions take place in my in-home studio located in Kennewick, WA. Upon entering you will enter my cozy studio that is set up for your newborn and family photos.
I also take clients in the surrounding areas including all of Tri-Cities (Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick), Benton City, Prosser, Grandview, Sunnyside, Walla Walla, Connell, and northeast Oregon including Hermiston, Pendleton, Umatilla, Boardman, and Milton-Freewater. 

How does scheduling work?

 We all know that babies arrive when they are ready and I plan for this! Your session is tentatively marked on my calendar by your due date. Once your baby is born, just send me a quick message and I will send you dates available for your session.


When SHOULD I REACH OUT TO SCHEDULE MY NEWBORN SESSION?

I recommend reaching out around the halfway point of pregnant- near week 20. That's when momma is starting to settle into the second trimester, feeling a little better, and is ready to plan for the arrival of baby. 
I  take a limited number of newborns per month to allow flexibility of early or late arrivals. If you already know you want these fleeting times photographed, reaching out sooner ensures you are on my calendar long before baby arrives. 

how long does a newborn session last?

Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2-3 hours. I follow baby's cues along the way. This allows time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and snuggles. The session will be calm, comfortable, and unhurried. 

what do i need to bring to the session?

Truly nothing beyond the essentials for feeding and comforting your baby. Your diaper bag, milk or bottles, and anything necessary for their routine is perfect. I handle everything else. My studio is fully stocked with curated props, hand-selected wraps, boutique outfits, bonnets, headbands, soft blankets, and cozy textures so you never have to pack or purchase a thing.
You bring the baby, I will do the rest.

The best time to get booked is when you hit your second trimester to ensure a spot in my schedule. 

If you are further along, or even if baby is already here, please reach out right away! Occasionally I have an opening last minute, and can work fast to get you in. However this is not a guarantee. 

I want to make sure that you have the opportunity to documented those moments you will always wished you had captured.
