My daughter’s newborn pictures were done at just FIVE days post emergency C-Section. I do not recommend this, but it was Christmas time and the photographer was going to close for a few weeks. Being barely able to move because I was so sore, I had an allergic reaction right before the session. So my lip was very swollen, and it was not ideal. I did not feel beautiful, I almost gave up on taking pictures, and just had my son take pictures with her. But I did it anyway.

And let me tell you, my daughter LOVES to look at those photos, and honestly, so do I. I unfortunately struggled with severe post partum depression with my daughter. That time feels like a blur. I am so incredibly grateful that I have those photos to look back on as a reminder of that special time.
